FHBC mourns the loss of Lisa Smith
On behalf of Field Hockey BC and its members, we would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to Lisa Smith's family after her passing in late July. Lisa's life touched all aspects of field hockey as a player, as a supporter and parent. Her five children, Samantha, Hannah, Jesse, Haley and Joel all played field hockey, ranging from the local club level mainly with WVFHC, Regional, Provincial, National and the International level and Lisa was with them every step of the way. In lieu of flowers, the Smith family is asking for donations to be made to the BC Cancer Agency, or a charity of your choice in Lisa's name. An event to remember and celebrate Lisa is being held on September 23rd from 4pm-7pm at The Pinnacle Hotel at The Pier in North Vancouver. To read the Obituary in the North Shore News, click here
