Women's National Team Ready to Start Ireland Tour
The Women's National Team have arrived in Dublin, Ireland ahead of their tour.  The series will see them playing games against Ireland, Wales and Scotland.  The first game against Ireland is on 22nd June at 2.30pm local time. read more ...
Congratulations Team BC who Took Second Place at the Senior National Championships
Team BC's senior women took the silver medals position at the 2013 Senior National Championships in Brampton, Ontario.  Team BC recorded some huge win's in the group stages which took them through to the Finals against Canada's U21's.  This highly anticipated game which resulted in a shoot out and a 3-2 win for the Canadian U21's.  Congratulations to Team BC who went away in second place after such a closely fought final. U18 Boys Club Championship Results
Congratulations to United Brothers on winning gold! Silver medal went to Victoria and bronze to India Club. 
U18 Girls Club Championship
Big thank you to Mike Gunning and the Delta Falcon crew for assisting FHBC with hosting the U18 Girls tournament! Results: Congrats gold medal India Club 1 for beating the TC Titans, and the Hawks edged out Delta for the bronze. 
Senior National Championships-Continued Success in Day 2
Team BC have continued their winning streak into Day 2 of the Senior National Championships.  The senior women won both games today, 14-0 over Guyana and 3-1 over Ontario U23.  The full round up of day 2 can be seen here. 
Senior National Championship-Team BC off to a Winning Start!
Team BC are off to a winning start at the Women's Senior National Championships in Brampton, Ontario.  On day one Team BC recorded a 8-0 victory over Alberta and started day 2 with a 14-0 win over Guyana.  The next game will be today (13th June) at 3.30pm EST against Ontario U23.  Check the full report from Day 1 here. 
U18 Boys and Girls Club Championship
It's the final weekend of club champs!  Come out and watch some great hockey and support  the U18's playing at Tamanawis, Friday, June 14 - Sunday, June 16.  For schedule and more information please click here for boys and girls. 
New Pitches and Pan Am 2015 Venue in Jeopardy, Your Help is Needed!
As part of the Toronto plans for the Pan American Games, the University of Toronto back campus field project will see two new synthetic turf fields installed.  This will greatly improve playing time, quality of play and player safety for all levels of sport and recreation.  A Toronto city Councillor has put forward a motion to designate the back campus field as a heritage site thereby condemning the plan that has been in place since 2009.  This knee-jerk reaction threatens to cripple plans that will benefit the community on multiple levels.  You can help by Signing this Petition! read more ...
A Day Out With the Men's National Team
The Canadian Men's National Team is venturing over to Vancouver Island to host a field Hockey skills clinic and demo for young people in Victoria.  This is part of the Big Push which aims to raise funds for the Men's National Team in their goal to win Pan-AM Gold in 2015. Parents, players, coaches and interested fans are encouraged to attend on Friday 21st June 5.30 to 7pm at UVic. read more ...
Retirement Party to Celebrate Pat Hall's Contribution to Field Hockey
Vancouver Island Ladies Field Hockey Association are pleased to announce a retirement party and cerebration for Pat Hall on June 15.  Pat has been an active member of VILFHA for 51 years and has retired from the executive board after the 2012-2013 season. read more ...
U12 Club Festivals - Vancouver and Richmond
A big thank you to the Vancouver Hawks and Richmond Field Hockey Club for hosting the U12 Boys and Girls Festivals!  Look out for the U14 Club Festivals, June 8-9.  Girls will play in West Vancouver, and the boys will play at Burnaby Lake.  Click on each one for more information, and to view the schedules as they become available.
