Canadian Juniors victorious over Chile
Canadian U17 Pan Am Men defeat Chile 3-1 in their second match of the first ever Youth Pan Am Championship being held in Mexico. Christopher Roydhouse opened the scoring with a PC goal early in the second half and Gabriel Ho-Garcia scored 2 for Canada. The Canadians meet Argentina on Thursday, Feb. 11, and the USA on Feb. 12. Men's U17 Pan Am Team Departs for Mexico
The 2010 Men’s U17 Pan American Youth Championship Team have departed for Hermosillo, Mexico. The athletes and staff have one week of exhibition games, training sessions and final preparations before they represent Canada at the first ever Youth Olympic Qualifier, February 6-13.

Regional Program - Weather Cancellations
In the event of a Regional Training session being cancelled due to snow or frozen turf, FHBC will post a news item here on the homepage. We will try to post the announcement by noon on the day of training, but all athletes and parents are encouraged to check the FHBC website prior to departing for training just in case there is a last minute update. If there is no news item then your training session is ON!

Pan Am Youth Program launches new website
Field Hockey BC earned the right to send two teams to represent Canada at the Pan American Youth Championships by winning the Gold Medal at both the Girls and Boys Canadian Under 16 National Championships this past summer. The boys’ tournament is being held in Hermosillo, Mexico in February, 2010 and the girls in Montevideo, Uruguay in March 2010.
