The 2009 Canada Cp will be running from July 16-19 at Eric Hamber and Wright fields. FHBC is currently seeking volunteers to assist at the technical table and with set-up/take down for the event. If you are able to help, please email tournamentcoordinator@fieldhockeybc.com with your availability.

Canadian Men tie Russia in 4-Nations opener

U14 Girls Club Championships
Congratulations to India Club for winning gold in Tier 1, Burnaby Red Hot Chili Peppers for winning gold in Tier 2, and West Vancouver Vipers for winning gold in Tier 3. A huge thanks to the volunteers from the West Vancouver host club, and to all of the officials.

Canadian Men Defeated by South Africa
The Canadian men’s national field hockey team lost to South Africa 1-3 on Tuesday afternoon in Elektrostal, Russia, in the second official test match in prelude to the Four-Nations Tournament scheduled to start on Wednesday. For further details, please click here.

U14 Boy's Club Championships
Congratulations to all participants at the U14 Boy's Club Championships held in Victoria June 13-14th. Thank you to Victoria for hosting and to all umpires, coaches, and managers. United Brothers won the final against West Vancouver, Victoria won a close 1-0 game for the bronze medal over the Black Hawks. For full results please click here.

FIH New Rules and BC Implementation
Following the BC Senior Umpires Meeting on Sunday March 8, 2009 and subsequent Field Hockey BC Board approval on March 10, 2009; Field Hockey BC is recommending to all Clubs, Leagues and Event Organisers that the new FIH Rules be effective for all age groups Under 14 and above from April 1, 2009. Initial Update Clinics continue to be confirmed in the lead up to the junior league programs and will continue thereafter.
