INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP SCHEME 2012/2013

For the membership year: September 1, 2012 - August 31, 2013

REGISTRATION PROCESS

• Every field hockey player, coach and official is required to register ahead of participation in 2012/2013. Each member will be required to pay membership fees for BOTH Field Hockey BC (FHBC) and Field Hockey Canada (FHC) unless otherwise stated. All individual memberships will involve an online registration process via the FHBC website. This will take care of both FHBC and FHC fees and these fees will not need to be considered as part of your annual club fee structure.
• The new membership year opens September 1, 2012 – August 31, 2013 regardless of last date of registration.
• Members only need register in ONE category.
• Some members may be players, coaches and/or officials and under these circumstances, members are required to register in their HIGHEST category.
• All members will be allocated a ‘FHBC/FHC member number’ upon registration that will act as their member number for life. Members are encouraged to make a note of their member number as they will require this for future registrations for membership, programs, courses and events.
• FHBC will send all registrations to each club following the registration deadline but we are asking clubs to incorporate the FHBC/FHC member number as part of the club registration process for ease of monitoring.
• The option to register will be open throughout the year with the membership year running September 1 – August 31.

Registration Options:

Registrations may be made by an individual or a designated club or executive official**.

** Field Hockey BC offers the opportunity for Club and/or League Executives to nominate a central administrator who will have back end access to their restricted area of the ‘live’ database. Nominations for an administrator must be accompanied by a copy of the Club/League Executive Meeting Minutes that stipulate the name and position of the administrator. Nominations should be returned to Mark Saunders at mark@fieldhockeybc.com. A log-in and password will then be allocated to each administrator and the administrator only. Each Club/League Executive is responsible to ensure that access to their respective restricted area of the database is solely carried out through their nominated administrator and no other party.

Bulk Registration:

Club/League administrators will not only have the ability to manage their restricted membership area but will also have the opportunity to bulk register their players should their Executive deem necessary. Prior notice to your members is required if bulk registration is required. When bulk registering, it is important that the administrator is provided with up to date information and above all an accurate e-mail address wherever possible. Bulk registration will follow the same registration process as that of an individual, ending in an on-line payment option for the total number of members registered at one time. Please note that the maximum financial transaction allowed at any one time is $3000.

Question: As a current member of Field Hockey BC, what services can I expect from the Association?

Answer: For your annual membership fee, Field Hockey BC will offer the following services to the sport of field hockey in British Columbia:
