Paramjit was a prominent member of India Field Hockey Club upon his arrival to Canada in the late 1960’s.  He represented Canada in several international tournaments throughout the 1970’s and early 1980’s.  Parmajit was also a key member of BC Field Hockey (the predecessor to Field Hockey BC) Board of Directors (coaching) and as a provincial coach. 

Outside sports, Paramjit was a successful property developer and prominent in the business community, and later the President of the Khalsa Diwan Society (Ross Street Gurdwara).
