U18 Women's High Performance Tournament
The U18 High Performance Tournament gets underway this Friday at 8:30am. The tournament runs from Friday May 9th to Sunday May 11 and all games are at Wright Field at UBC. A special thanks to all the Umpires, Technical Officials as well as the volunteers. Best of luck to all the teams!!!

 Korea victorious in the Battle for Beijing!
Congratulations to SOUTH KOREA who won the gold medal and the final placing at the Beijing Olympics with a string of startling performances that dazzled the crowds at the WorldHockey Olympic Qualifier in Victoria last week. Teams competing: Canada, South Korea, Italy, Ireland, Malaysia and Uruguay. Final Standings: 1. Korea 2. Italy 3. Ireland 4. Canada 5. Malaysia 6. Uruguay.

Registration is open for a provincial umpiring course on May 26th and 28th in West Van. Please click here for more information. The course scheduled for May 7th and 14th has unfortunately been cancelled due to a lack of participants.

Under 16 Women's High Performance Tournament
Congratulations to the North West Tsunami who won the gold medal at the BC U16 Women's High Performance Championships. The Tsunami had a tight 0-0 final against North West Herons, however the Tsunami won 4-1 in penalty strokes. For full results and photos please see the tournament page.

Vancouver Mens League Champions
Congratulations to India A who were named the 2008 Premier Championships after a close match against Hawks A. India A scored in overtime, for a picture of the championship team please click here.
Surrey A and India B won their respective competitive pools and also had a close final match. Congratulations to Surrey A who won the game on strokes.

Women's Under 14 High Performance Tournament
Congratulations to the North Shore Titans who captured first place at the U14 Women's High Performance Tournament. Titans' Kylie Nabata, the leading scorer for the tournament, scored two goals to beat Fraser South in the final 2-0. Please see the tournament page for results and photos.

Call for High Performance Officials
The 2008 Women's High Performance Tournaments are being held, April 4-6 in Duncan, April 11-13 at UBC, and May 9-11 at UBC. Field Hockey BC is looking for Provincial A or Regional certified umpires, as well as technical judges to officiate at these events. All interested candidates should email Sue Jameson.

Senior Nationals -Call for Umpires and Officials
The 2008 Senior Men's and Women's Outdoor National Championships will be held in Calgary, Alberta from June 27 - 30, 2008. Field Hockey Canada is looking for regional or canadian certified umpires to officiate this national event. All interested candidates must please fill out the Official Availability and Profile Forms. The tentative deadline for application is May 25.
