2013 BC Senior Women
Trial
Sunday, May 12th from 4:30pm-7pm at Tamanawis Park in Surrey.
National Championships:
June 12 - 16, 2013 in Brampton, Ontario.
Eligibility
Athletes must REGISTER IN ADVANCE, be a member in good standing with FHBC and FHC, and participate in the Senior BC Trials. For those who have a conflict with the trial date, please contact colleen@fieldhockeybc.com at the FHBC office as soon as possible.
FHBC Membership
You will need your FHBC member number to complete the trial registration; once your registration is complete you will receive an automatic email confirmation.
(*If you have not been playing hockey in BC this year (eg. you have been out of province at University) you will need to register and pay for a BC Senior Membership ($66) which will be valid until August 31, 2013. Please visit https://www.fieldhockeybc.ca/fhbc/membership.php to purchase your membership prior to completing the online Trial Registration.)
Fitness
Athletes will be assessed on their fitness at the trial with a beep test.
Trial Fee
$10 (Payable in cash at the trial)
Trial Waiver
Please bring a copy to the trial on May 12th. A copy will be emailed to registrants a few days before the trial.
Levy Information
The levy has yet to be approved, but is currently drafted at $423 per player. This fee includes coach, manager, practice and tournament costs. This levy does not include costs related to player travel or accommodation. Please be aware of FHBC’s Financial Policy - all payments or arrangements for payment plans MUST be made prior to the first provincial training session or athletes will regrettably be ineligible for the Team BC Program.
Training
Teams will have one training session in June. More information will be posted about this after the trial.
Travel/Accommodation for Senior Nationals
Please note the levy does not include athlete travel or accommodation costs for Senior Nationals (consistent with historical athlete desire to make their own arrangements). However, for athletes who would like assistance if selected to Team BC, please contact colleen@fieldhockeybc.com at the FHBC office as soon as possible.
For those who do not make Team BC
Any eligible Senior athletes, who are not named to a BC Senior Team, will be available for selection by other provincial teams who have requested additional athletes. Participation in the FHC Senior National Tournament, on another provincial team, is entirely voluntary and no athlete's name will be forwarded until the athlete confirms their wishes.
