 Men's High Performance Program Minimize

The BC Men’s High Performance program is growing each year and proves to be successful, sending athletes to compete on Canada’s National Men’s Team. The program aims to provide standardized and consistent technical training for juniors, preparing athletes for junior and national team opportunities.

 

Annually, the HP Men’s Program develops programs for approximately 150 athletes.

 

Junior Program (under 18 years of age)

The year round Junior Program is split into 3 age groups as well as 3 Performance tiers.

 

Athletes who wish to be considered for Provincial Teams are encouraged to participate in the first tier (High Performance Development Stream), but must participate in the Club Championships each Spring. Please see the Athlete Pathway for more information.

Junior Men’s High Performance Tiers:

Development Stream (October-March)

Elite Stream (Year round, concentrated in September-March)

Provincial Excellence Stream (June-August)

 

Senior Program (over 18 years of age)

Senior athletes have the opportunity to represent BC at Senior National Championships as well as in International series.

External Sport Credits
Athletes who participate in the Regional/Zone or Provincial programs are eligible to receive External Sport Credits towards their high school graduation.  FHBC will be mailing letters to all athletes who were involved in the 2007-2008 programs - please contact us if you do not receive your letter by September.

Children's Fitness Tax Credit - Thursday, March 06, 2008
Starting with the 2007 tax year, the Government of Canada allows a non-refundable tax credit based on eligible fitness expenses paid by parents to register a child in a prescribed program of physical activity. The children's fitness tax credit allows parents to claim up to $500 per year for eligible fitness expenses paid for each child who is under 16 years of age at the beginning of the year in which the expenses are paid.

Tax receipts for participation in the FHBC's Developmental, Regional and Provincial Excellence Programs in 2007 have been issued by email to all eligible athletes. If you did not receive the tax receipt, please contact info@fieldhockeybc.com.
