 Women's High Performance Program Minimize

The BC Women’s High Performance program is arguably the most successful program in Canada. Adapting and advancing to meet the needs of our growing athlete talent base, the Women’s Program aims to provide opportunity for the best athletes to reach their full potential in field hockey. Annually, the HP Program develops programs for approximately 350 athletes.

 

Junior Program (under 18 years of age)

The year round Junior Program is split into 3 age groups as well as 3 Performance tiers. Athletes who wish to be considered for Provincial Teams must participate in the first tier (High Performance Development Stream). Please see the Athlete Pathway and Regional Program for more information.

Provincial Excellence Stream (May-August)

Elite Stream (Year round, concentrated in September-March)

 

Senior Program (over 18 years of age)

Senior athletes have the opportunity to represent BC at Senior National Championships, Canada Summer Games as well as International series.

Children's Fitness Tax Credit - Thursday, March 06, 2008
Starting with the 2007 tax year, the Government of Canada allows a non-refundable tax credit based on eligible fitness expenses paid by parents to register a child in a prescribed program of physical activity. The children's fitness tax credit allows parents to claim up to $500 per year for eligible fitness expenses paid for each child who is under 16 years of age at the beginning of the year in which the expenses are paid.

Tax receipts for participation in the FHBC's Developmental, Regional and Provincial Excellence Programs in 2007 have been issued by email to all eligible athletes. If you did not receive the tax receipt, please contact info@fieldhockeybc.com.  

Fitness Programs Available

Regional Levy Payment
The 2007-2008 Zone and Regional Levy is $325. Please select a cheque or credit card payment on our registration system. To pay the levy, click here. The final deadline for levy payment to avoid exclusion from the program is your third training session or February 22 whichever date is earlier. If you have any concerns about meeting the levy payment due date, please contact dallas@fieldhockeybc.com for alternative arrangements. The reserve players not named to the tournament team will receive a $100 rebate at the close of the tournament.
