We, The Surrey Lions, winners of this year's B.C. Hockey League, cordially invite you to watch, enjoy and celebrate with us in the spirit of the game of Field Hockey by attending the First Surrey Cup International Hockey Tournament, being held on the 25-27th of July, in the City of Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. The tournament will be held for three categories of game play:

1.   Men's Open Championship         (Minimum 8 teams)
2.   Women's Open Championship    (Minimum 6 teams)
3.   Social - men and women mixed   (Minimum 6 teams)

      Some of North America's top field hockey teams will be here in our beautiful city of Surrey, fighting for the top honors whilst showing their skills and talent to all. We have teams coming from Freemont CA, Dallas Texas, Phoenix Arizona, Los Angeles CA, San Jose CA, Calgary AB, Edmonton AB, Toronto, New York, Houston...amongst others! Some of our best local teams will fight them to showcase our local hockey talent.

      The Tournament is being held on the 25 - 27 July, 2008, at the Tamanawis Park (64 Ave & 126 St.) and also at the Newton Athletic Park (73 Ave & 128 St). 
      Former and present Hockey Olympians and other Hockey greats will be present at the tournament to promote the game of Field Hockey. There will also be a cultural show on the final day, making it a true Hockey Mela atmosphere!
